ROLL CALL
I'm just curious who's following along with me on my trading education. If you check this blog semi-regularly, please introduce yourself in the comments.
I "know" you from Don Miller's blog. There seems to be a small group of traders following each other's blogs out there so I'm ramping up by subscribing to each over a period of time. Got to separate the wheat from the chaff. I have a Blogger profile, but no blog yet, because nothing is coming to me not being said by the aforementioned traders. Someday. I like a lot of your content not based on specific daily performance. Number crunching after the fact leaves me cold, but I get off on the why's and wherefores just as long as we're making money. Your format is nice too...easy to read. Looking forward to more from you and I will comment.
Welcome to the Blog, James. Let me know if you have any ideas for improvements on the Blog or on my trading.
I'm not big into number crunching either but the profit factor is something I'll be tracking daily since it is a key metric in my performance, and critical to my success. I mention the Win rate % more for entertainment than anything else, and to further drill in the idea in my own mind that profit factor is more important than win rate.
decided to read some trading blogs when I ran into Don's. That's how I found yours. I have my own blog but it's on forex but with the same goal. Catch you later
I just got the link of your blog from somewhere (oh.. I forget where i got it within 2 hrs). I read the introduction and most parts of it seems like reading my past. Right now in the hesitation phase of trading futures. I will check out your other blogs before adding further comments abt the simiarities i am having with you so far.
Hi Emini, I hadn't noticed this part of your blog before so I never introduced myself. I'm a full time YM (mini-dow) trader lost in a sea of ES traders (geez, no other YM'ers out there....guess I have to start my own.) I don't like boring market recaps but I do like the explanation of individual trades (daytrading, not overnite). Psychology is what led me to Don Millers blog, and then a link to you. So I do like reading about the real game we are playing which is so much bigger than entries and exits. I do like your "easy on the eyes" blog format too. I am currently following 3 blogs and that's plenty. But with you in school now I may add another. But I still check yours everyday just to see if anything new pops up. For the record, I'm older than just about everyone who's blog I've ever read.
Chuck, your comments have been very helpful and I'm honored to have people like yourself following my Blog.
I'll add FeedBurner over the weekend so people can subscribe to the Blog and be notified of new posts via email. That way you don't have to continuously check for updates. You can also add my blog to the list of Blogs you follow on Blogger.com, and you'll see updates on the Blogger.com Dashboard. That's how I keep up with the Blogs I follow. Just some options to save you time :)
Chuck...on a side note, I was interviewed by SFO Magazine back in the day because I guess I was one of the first retail traders actively trading the mini-dow :D
Cool site! Think i can learn much from you guys. I spreadbet the ES from here in the sunny UK (Right!) Having good bad and real ugly days! Trying to lessen the ugly days and think i can learn from you guys and develop my style. Renato
I just started visiting your site regularly about a week ago. I enjoy the bearish and bullish sinarios posted each day as well many of the important posts. I cant thank you enough for all the information you contribute to help developing traders as myself. I hope to be able to pay it forward one day, and look forward to your future posts.
I've been following your blog for a couple of weeks now...I've traded Forex in the past and now studying the futures market pretty heavily. There are quite a few blogs to follow out there but I realized that more blog reading does not always = learning. I have consolidated my blog reading to ft71, traderfeed, and your blog. I appreciate the time you put in and look forward to conversing as I learn more about the futures market.....thanks!
Hi I am a recent follower of your blog...I'm a stay at home mom trying to make this work. I did not have much sucess but looking at your disciplined approach has inspired me to give it a go again. Thank you for posting regularly it really helps newbies like me.
Hi Charlotte, glad to have you on here! Feel free to post questions and I'll try to answer when I can. While you're learning, I would highly recommend you make full use of a trading simulator. Infinity Futures has an excellent Simulator and the fills are more realistic compared to the Sims on some of the other platforms like Think or Swim and TradeStation.
I like your blog alot !!! A goup us read it here in the office every day!!! We only trade the e-mini markets we like reading about your views of the market!!! It nice to see another trader views!!!! Good job!!!

Hey E-mini I just discovered your key levels/reviews earlier this week. Already you've jumped to the top of my must-reads. Clear and informative reports, fine charts - Thanks, this is great stuff, I can't help but learn from it. Pete, CA
Hello E-Mini... I look at your site every day and you are one of my top 'Twits'! Along with FT71 and ElectronicLocal. Keep up the good work and don't bite off more than you can keep on your plate (not to mix metaphors!) with your schoolwork. Still looking for a brief rundown of how you figure your levels. Sometimes I can figure the numbers out and sometimes I just don't get it. So still working on being self sufficient. Thanks again for your help. Gary
Hi Gary, welcome to the Blog! I'm working on putting something together regarding the levels. I've just been too busy lately, and don't want to post incomplete information.
I have been a die hard follower since I stumbled upon the site and wanted to sign in on the roll call like you asked. I really enjoy your blog and appreciate you sharing your levels with us daily. I always incorporate them in my daily routine now. I have to say its been a pleasure to read through your posts from day one and see the progression that you have made, its been inspirational for me and helps me stay motivated in doing my homework and coming up with a game plan for myself each day.
I really enjoyed your post on how you take your trades. Can't wait for a post on how you come up with your levels each day too. Hopefully you won't forget about us when you go full time:)
The clarity of your charts and analysis have made reading both a part of my daily prep for trading ES. Your addition of EC got me to set it up as well. Appreciate your willingness to share.
Hi E mini Are you getting enough sleep these days with your busy schedule? LOL Thanks for the great posts and am looking forward to learning how you come up with your levels. Read you daily, along with ELocal and FT71. I am working on getting consistent and then finding a firm that will allow me to trade larger size. Thanks again for sharing. Bramireznc on twitter
Hi Mike, glad to have you on the Blog! 2009 was a very educational year and this Blog is a good record of where I started in 2008, and where I am now.
Hi Brian, thanks for checking in!
Chris, the EC is a great trading product. It allows you to scale out for small gains very quickly, thus reducing risk on the position. I like it and plan on actively trading it alongside the ES.
Bill, LOL -- I wish I was getting enough sleep! Six more weeks of school, and then, I will finally get some much needed rest!
EMP, Love your blog! Great information! Thank you for sharing your insite! I'm starting to use the Market Profile charts so it helps to read your blog! Happy Trading! Tallred on twitter
Tallred, welcome the Blog -- I'm glad you're looking into Market Profile. If you haven't done so already, pick up a copy of Mind Over Markets. Wish you the best!
Someone posted your site a few weeks back in a chat and have been watching it ever since. I like your approach for your s/r levels and enjoy your commentary.
without any doubt one of the best blogs available with sharp analyses ...and it is free! Congrats! I check it daily to compare with my own business spots.
Hi EMP, I am a equity trader from India, in the initial phase of my trading career right now... I follow your blog daily and I must say I really have learnt a lot from your blog. I appreciate the efforts you put in posting it while balancing it with your busy academic schedule.. I have started looking into the market profile and have got the book Markets in Profile to gain its better understanding. I liked your post on how you enter into a trade...and I look forward to more of such amazing stuffs on the blog. Thanks for your efforts and all the very best Happy Trading!!
Not sure where I found your blog, but someone highlighted it and I have been following it with interest for a month or so.
Thanks for providing useful perspective. I am based in London and primarily trade the e-mid, as it more volatile and offers the small trader more opportunities.
Hi Paul, thanks for the intro! I am watching and lightly trading the 6E on small size these days. I'll try to post some 6E levels when I can. Take care!
You still roll calling? I'm Ross. rossgreenspan on Twitter. I've found this blog to be a great resource. I have been trading a little over a year, and my progress has been mixed. I started in the DJ pit in January of 2009 but left due to volume. I've been full electronic since April of 2009. Currently, I'm back on the floor in an electronic booth. I appreciate the work and have especially enjoyed the posts about trading and trader development. Hit me up if you're ever in the CBOT. I owe you lunch, at the least.
Hi E-Mini Player, I met your blog today and I found it very interesting. I am learning to trade with VWAP and I also want to learn to trade with volume profile. I am not a full time trader but, since now on, I will check your blog regularly. Thanks a lot for the high quality analysis that you post. Valter - Italy
I have just found your blog it looks that it is packed with good information. Trying to become a full time trader for the last 4 years and very very slowly getting there. At this stage more losses than winners.
